This forum is dedicated to all types of conventions. Anime, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Gaming etc... . Discuss, upcoming conventions, past convention experiences, funny anecdotes, anything you want that's related to conventions. FYI, a little known fact, the word "convention" translated into the Otaku language means "heaven". Ask anyone fluent in Otaku speak, and they will tell you the same.

The sign of a true Otaku. Discuss techniques you use when creating a costume, talk with fellow cosplayers about fun times you've had in costume, or plan to have. Reconnect with Cosplayers you've meet over the years. Or just show off pics of yourself dressed as your favorite characters. Just keep it decent, remember, there are impressionable eyes here. No Man-Faye or Sailor Bubba allowed.... ok, ok, you're allowed in too.

Figures, Toys, Garage/Resin Kits, Scratch Builds, Kit Bashing, Plastic Kits etc.... Model building, and figure collecting, whatever type or your fancy, can be a fantastically fun hobby. Plus that modelling glue smells fantastic, whooo.... ugghhh...I don't feel so good.... kinda dizzy... I think I might passoufaaoisjoasi;dv

h oh, here comes another mob of hysterical, screaming fangirls ready to trample me to a pulp just to get a glimpse of that "dreamy" J-Pop star. I can't really poke fun though. I was willing to risk getting trapped in a burning convention center during a Mari Ijima concert when someone pulled the fire alarm at Otakon 99 (actually, no one moved, until Mari Ijima said we should probably leave, and she'd resume the concert after). I'd probably run into a burning building to save the wallscroll she signed for me. She was MINMEI !!!! I think i'd be justified. That's what makes us Otaku, embrace it.

So many great Sci-Fi series and movies have been created, some funny, some dramatic, some action packed, the genre's possibilities are endless. Some series and movies have directly contributed to the development of today's technology. We can be sure that it'll continue to shape our technology and our future. Hmm.... maybe I should freeze my head so I can see what's coming.
